Through detailed analysis of the strategic and local nature of the site as well as its history and similar neighbouring sites, the proposals are based on a firm foundation of understanding from a townscape and architectural perspective.

The proposed scheme focuses on the texture, tone and quality of materials to enable the building to act as a response to the site context. In a further understanding of the physical nature of the site and surrounding buildings, and looking to local urban hierarchies, the massing is a response to the area’s characteristics and demonstrates an appreciation of the surrounding streetscape.
