Originally built around 1863 as a warehouse for Patey & Co. Perfumers, this former industrial building in Shoreditch was extensively restored and remodelled to create a four-storey family home.

Later additions were stripped away to reveal the original structure and plan form, with exposed timber and historic fabric retained as the backdrop to a restrained contemporary interior. New interventions are deliberately minimal, using natural materials, strong contrasts and carefully introduced natural light to preserve the character and spatial qualities of the original warehouse.
