The Design of Space

We consider the importance of good space design and how it goes far beyond mere physical aesthetic.

Good architectural design considers more than just physicality. It goes beyond how a building is seen and considers how a building is experienced. At Kyson we design spaces rather than rooms. We consider how a space is perceived, how it feels. We seek to design spaces that positively impact the psychological and physiological impact of its users. We consider light, shadow, scale, hierarchy, sound, movement, vistas, drama, tranquility etc, all of which combine to create effective and lasting architecture.
