LOWER MARSH SHOPFRONTS

Opposite our Ruby Lucy Hotel project is a run of five late-Victorian buildings which form part of the eclectic Lower Marsh Parade. Historically each building had been designed in a unique manner with varying levels of ornamentation and detailing, some of which is still present where as other parts are later additions.

As part of the overall building refurbishment project Studio Kyson was required to undertake the redesign and upgrade of each of the shopfronts in line with traditional shopfront detailing practices. Each shopfront was design to be unique with introductions of traditional pilasters, stall-risers, console brackets and fascia signage boards, drawing inspiration from other nearby historic details. Whilst each one is unique the five shopfronts are complimentary to each other and also collectively in-keeping with their Lower Marsh setting. A careful selection of heritage colour tones was chosen for the final finishes.
